About the event
Across four evenings, TUMINAS FEST brought filmed versions of Rimas Tuminas’s productions to the big screen. The programme featured Anton Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya”, “War and Peace” after Leo Tolstoy and Alexander Pushkin’s “Eugene Onegin” — three works in which light, sound and movement form a theatrical language of their own.
The festival concluded with a creative conversation with Tuminas’s long-time collaborator, scenographer Adomas Jacovskis. The discussion revealed how a stage world is created and how a set begins telling the story before the actors appear.
