About the event
Reiner Holzemer’s documentary offers a rare and intimate entry into Martin Margiela’s world. After decades of avoiding publicity, the designer tells his own story for the first time, sharing drawings, notes and personal objects while still keeping his face out of view.
The SNAMI Private Screening took place at Kino Artis. Before the film, journalist, film critic and curator Dasha Kozyr placed Margiela’s work in a wider cultural context and explored his influence on the language of fashion. The film was shown in English and French with Estonian and Russian subtitles.
