About the event
Echo of Lyubimovka brought four readings of contemporary drama to Tallinn, exploring freedom, love, emigration, violence and the search for meaning. The programme featured “Bardo Thodol, or Grandma, You Are Dead” by Nika Welt, “My Hour” by Esther Bol, “Berlin Syndrome” by Polina Borodina and Ivan Vyrypaev’s “Closed Research. New Constructive Ethics”.
Actors of Südalinna Teater staged the texts, with “Berlin Syndrome” heard in Estonian for the first time. After every reading, the audience discussed the play with its directors, actors and authors; playwright Mikhail Durnenkov moderated the conversations. SNAMI organised the festival with the theatre and support from Eesti Kultuurkapital.
